A new Hyde Park neighborhood independent bookstore. First Light Books aims to provide the equivalent to the neighborhood community hub, a source for inspired conversations, curated literature and many communal events inviting notable participants from around the United States. First Light Books is one of the flagship tenants at the remodeled old Hyde Park Post office. Thoughtbarn was also the architect on the remodel and repurposing of the Hyde Park Post Office site into new retail spaces that serve the residents of Austin and Hyde Park.
